a little girl went into the forest
put a sequence of events in motion
she told them
had more children
and followed me
and so it shall be
that those young men who seek me
will have to answer
to their descendantsreblog
Let me tell you a story
About a little girl
Who would not listen
A little curious girl
Who found herself
In the world
Of the face-less master
And who ardently wished
To see him again
For what reason?
No one truly knew
He’s a monster
He’s a stranger
He could kill you
I don’t care she would say
And with that desire
Came other children
She was the catalyst
A black hole
In a small town
This is where it all started2 reblog
"Now let me get this straight…just to make sure I understand. All ten of you, went looking for a man, in the woods, who you didn’t even know?!"
"That’s correct, sir."
"I just—I’m trying to wrap my damn head around this. It didn’t occur to any of you that he could’ve been extremely dangerous?! Maybe even armed?!"
"All of you need to explain to me what the hell is going on and who this bald guy in a suit is. As well as, why there are several other kids, just like you, who are still missing."
"Godammit, SOMEBODY SAY SOMETHING!—"
"Sheriff…Detective Franklin is here."
"Ruth, we have to go back for Liam!"
"No, he’s gone. We have to get out of here."
"He’s not gone! Let’s go back and find him, please Ruth!!"
"Lydia! Stop it, he’s gone. We have to go. Now."
"No, I’m going back! I know he’s still out there."
"Ruth?! NO. LET HER GO!! DON’T TAKE HER TOO!"19 reblog
"You’re going to be staying with your aunt and uncle for a while, alright Elijah?"
"I just don’t understand why I can’t stay here with momma."
"She’s very sick and wants to make sure that you’ll be alright while she gets better. Your aunt and uncle are very nice. They’ll take good care of you."
"Why is she sick?"
"The train is here. Time to go, Elijah."
"Is it because she sees that tall man, like everyone says?"reblog
"For heaven’s sake Amelia, would you just look straight over here?"
"Judith calm down, it’s just a photograph."
"I just don’t understand what’s so interesting about that damn window behind me."1 reblog
"Can you tell me why you went towards him, instead of yelling for help?"
"It’s very important that you tell me this, Lydia. So we can find your brother and sister. Don’t you want to see them again?"
"He ate them."
"And then he said he’d take me home."
"Wait wait, what do you mean ‘he ate them’?"
"He did…he ate them…just…go away…GO AWAY!!"32 reblog
I look around to ensure of where I am. Sure enough, there’s the hardware store, the park and the small theater. Elijah is oddly calm, but still just as confused as I am. “Weren’t we just in the woods?” I nod, and stay quiet. I carefully take a step away from the curb and onto the main road. “Careful!” Elijah yells out as my soft white shoes touch the dark pavement. That’s when it hits me. The cars. The sound of the birds chirping. The grinding of the saw at the hardware store. Nothing. I can’t hear any of them.
